Do I need a new consumer unit for an EV charger?
Not necessarily. We’ll check your existing consumer unit, available capacity and circuit protection. If additional equipment or an upgrade is required, we’ll include this in the quote.
Can you install an EV charger if I have solar panels?
Yes. Zappi is particularly well suited to homes with solar PV, and we can also advise on other compatible charger options.
How powerful will my home charger be?
Most domestic installations are 7kW on a single-phase supply, which is suitable for overnight charging for most EVs.
Can I get an accurate quote without a site visit?
In many cases, yes. If you send clear photos of your consumer unit, meter, proposed charger position and cable route, we can often provide a quote remotely.
Do you install customer-supplied chargers?
